Arneis is an Italian grape variety from Piedmont in Northern Italy. It nearly became extinct 50 years ago until revived by planting in good soil in the Barolo region. The Arneis vines at Curlewis Winery are 15 years old.
Colour: Pale straw
Bouquet: aromas of nashi pear, herbal and white flower notes.
Palate: full flavoured, crisp, citric with a good palate weight, strong acid line and dry finish.
Wine-making: hand-picked, foot stomped, basket pressed, fermented and aged in old French oak barriques for six months.
Alcohol: 13.5%
