2023 Cinque Sagrantino Miscelato - Basket Pressed Italians

Sagrantino is a Southern Italian grape variety from Umbria. It is the main grape in this superb blend “miscelato” of five wines “cinque.” Blended with other Southern Italian friends -Aglianico, Piedi Rosso, Syrah, Merlot. Our aim… to create an unctuous, well balanced Italian wine that has good quality tannins with the use of oak aging and gentle wine-making.

Colour: Deep Ruby 
Bouquet: fragrant fruit mix of plum, dried cherries and cranberries and lifted spices.
Palate:  The palate is savoury, earthy and structured. The fruit is beautifully balanced, excellent soft tannin quality, full length of palate finishing harmoniously. This wine is a melody in itself and makes you want to burst into song.
Wine-making: hand-picked, lightly crushed, wild yeast inoculation, basket pressed, fermented and aged in old French oak barriques for 15 months.
