This special edition Pinot Noir is the culmination of two decades of care and patience. This wine is born from the our Pommard vines with a story - originally cut from the revered soils of Pommard, in Burgundy. They have flourished here at Curlewis Winery on the Bellarine Peninsula, and now, they've given us a wine worthy of its legacy.

The premium fruit is of very low yields and the result is a complex, bold, well balanced, expressive wine, oozing with character. The Pommard Home Block 2022 is a wine with serious power and presence - classic Pommard masculine power

This 2022 Pommard Homeblock captures the best of both worlds:
- the depth and character of Burgundy
- the vibrant energy of our Coastal Terroir.
This is a wine of structure, intensity and layered complexity.

Colour: Dark Crimson

Bouquet: A very fragrant bouquet of dark berries, plums, ripe cherries, violets, earthy Pommard undertones, leather and a touch of cacao. The bouquet alone introduces the depth and complexity of this extraordinary Pinot Noir.

Palate: Smooth and structured with a rich middle palate. Intensity and exquisite depth of flavour. Elegant yet bold. Refined, lingering tannins, bright acidity and a mineral backbone. Earthy flavours and the dark and red fruits shine through. A long complex finish with characteristic savoury spice and silky texture. Extremely well, perfectly judged oak.

Oak: 50% new.

Cellaring: Drinking beautifully now and will age gracefully for 10+ years.
