2025 Arneis BPI 7- Basket Pressed Italians-NEW VINTAGE-RELEASE DATE- Sunday 7 June 2026 at Cellar Door
Arneis is an Italian grape variety from Piedmont in Northern Italy. It nearly became extinct 50 years ago until revived by planting in good soil in the Barolo region. The Arneis vines at Curlewis Winery are 16 years old.
Colour: Pale straw
Bouquet: aromas of nashi pear, white peach, lemon blossom, complemented by subtle hints of almond.
Palate: vibrant and finely textured showing layers of pear, stone fruit and citrus zest balanced by refreshing natural acidity. Full flavoured with a good palate weight and natural acidity. A gentle savoury edge with a lingering finish add complexity and varietal character.
Winemaking: hand-picked, foot stomped, basket pressed, cold fermentation, fermented and aged in old French oak barriques for six months.
Alcohol: 13.5% Cellaring: Drink now to 2031
